Dajabón, Dominican Republic 2017. Back in 1937 20,000 Haitians living in the northern frontier are thought to have been killed on orders given by dictator Rafael Trujillo. But the "parsley massacre" went mostly unnoticed. Today more than eight decades after thousands of Haitians cross this border weekly looking for a better way of living in the other side of La Hispaniola.
